Missons and Outreach
West Siders are involved in Special Needs, and Senior Services. We partner with Franklin Elementary and Lawrence Elementary and sponsor Boy Scout troop and
Cub pack 733. Globally we support four missionary teams, three serving in Africa and one in Great Britain. We also support two indigenous pastors, one in Haiti, and one in Tanzania. Our adult small groups support other missionaries as well. Over 10% of our annual Ministry Vision Plan is targeted toward this area.
Our 2011 Season of Joy Special Offering was completely funded. We funded the following:
- a water well for the Medical Clinic in Ethopia where Jake & Erin
Moore are missionaries.
- 10 new Proclaimer media devices that Key Connection Ministries
[Steve McFarland, Thane & Charlotte White] will equip native
Tanzanian pastors with.
- a reserve fund for updating our West Side Preschool playground
- three new video monitors for communications displays

Prayer is the foundation of West Side Christian Church. We believe in prayer and take it seriously. It is the most powerful tool God has given us. During the week you can call the church or submit a request through the form.
Indicate the request is confidential if you want only Pastors and Elders to pray. If the request is urgent please indicate it and there will be a priority effort to include as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

Volunteer
The purpose of Volunteer Ministries is to place the right people in the right place for the right reasons.
The majority of our ministries function through the efforts of our volunteers. There are two primary ways you can enlist.
One is by speaking with any of the Pastors
Second is by taking our

October Sermon Series:
Saints, Sinners & Heroes of Faith
No one would argue that everyone makes mistakes. Very few see themselves as a saint. Yet it is this group from whch Heroes of Faith emerge. God uses ordinary people to create extraordinary results. Until the defining moment arrives most heroes are hardly noticed or even thought of as likely candidates. The Scrptures tell how God reveals Himself and shapes history using Heroes of Faith as catalysts who embody our Legacy of Faith. Join us as we study our Legacy through two patriarchs, a prostitute, and a prophet.
