We’ll look at the people God used to shape the early church, leaving a historical record that instructs and inspires today’s Church.

We’ll explore the writers, explain how the writings shaped God’s new community, and emphasize the importance of their messages for the generations of Disciples that would follow
We’ll look at Mark & Peter, Luke and Paul
Not everyone played the role of a charismatic leader but some of the most influential early Christians were Celebrities in God’s Sight. They embodied Christ and His message in
ways that shaped and strengthened the early church. We’ll look at two: Barnabas & Lydia from the book of Acts.Acts.
Following Christ often led to persecution and suffering. The early Church shed no one’s blood except their own. We’ll look Stephen’s martyrdom in Acts 7 and why others also gave
their lives.
February 19 Heroes Beyond the 1st Century – The Early Church Fathers
How the church survived and thrived through persecutions, debates, and heresies. We’ll also address how our current New Testament writings were accepted.
We’ll look at people who God used to navigate the Church through the Middle Ages; surviving division, decline, even decadence; who led the rediscovery and return to the
importance of God’s Word & Authority instead of Man’s.
The Journey from Tradition, through Denominationalism, into restoring the Priesthood of all Believers. A look at West Side’s ancestors and the rise of non-aligned communities of
faith.
